Stampings are very cool design elements that are ‘stamped’ out of metal ... in this case, brass. Stampings manufacturers are becoming fewer and fewer, and some of the old ones have closed up shop completely, or have been bought out by others. The designs are often vintage: art deco, art nouveau, 60’s (oh, my gosh, the 60’s are considered vintage ......... I am getting old!), and other designs from yesteryear; all timeless. I had some plated in an antique brass finish, others in antique silver, and still others in antique copper. You can also apply paints or various chemicals to them to change their appearance to suit you and your project. I love them, and hope you do to.
Caution: If you fall in love with any of the stampings, be aware that my supply of them is very limited (see the actual pages to see how many I have), and once they are gone, I probably will not be stocking them again, so buy what you need/want/desire when you see it.
I have attempted to group the stampings in a manner that makes sense (or did at the time I created the site), and the description will tell you how many packages I have of that particular piece/grouping.
Stampings can be used in jewelry making, in book arts, in wearable art, and fine art; the only limitation is your imagination.
